About

A pond full of wonder

Koi Cove is a fun, educational, and engaging animated series for kids under 10 — built for the way children actually watch today: short, bright, and full of tiny wonders.

Every episode lives inside the Sunken Prairie Gulch, a hidden freshwater cove beneath a Texas prairie. Ripple, Glow, Shelby the sea snail, Dart the pufferfish, and even grumpy Clawmont the snapping turtle ask the questions kids actually wonder — and answer them with feeling, not lectures.

Curious, not corny

We ask the questions kids really wonder about. No forced rhymes, no 'hey kids!'

Warm, not saccharine

Feelings are named plainly. Sadness gets a beat. Joy doesn't need exclamation points.

Wonder as default

Every episode ends with a small 'huh, I never thought of that' — the ripple.

Koi Cove is the creation of Derek Clayton — storyteller, dad, and lifelong pond-peerer. Derek dreamt up the Sunken Prairie Gulch as a place where children could slow down, ask the small questions, and feel the ripple.
